STATEMENT OF BASIC BELIEFS
We affirm the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for our beliefs. Sunnyside Baptist Church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of the current "The Baptist Faith and Message 2000."
We voluntarily bond ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost people.
The ordinances of the church are believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper.
Vision, Purpose, and Objectives:
The Vision of Sunnyside Baptist Church:
To reach the Tri-Cities with the Gospel and see lives changed to the glory of God
The Purpose of Sunnyside Baptist Church:
Our purpose is to bring people to Jesus and to membership within His family. We are to develop them to Christ-like maturity. We are a friendly church charged by God to meet the needs of the people in our community.
The Objectives of Sunnyside Baptist Church:
A. To be a dynamic spiritual body of believers empowered by the Holy
Spirit to share Christ to the entire world.
B. To be a worshipping fellowship, experiencing an awareness of God, and responding in obedience to His leadership.
C. To be a church which ministers unselfishly to people in the community
and around the world.
D. To be Christ-like in our daily living. Magnifying Jesus and sharing His love through worship, discipleship, evangelism, ministry and fellowship.
