We have just the right class for your child.
We have just the right Sunday School class for your infant through 6th grader. Your child will be welcomed at 9:15am by our wonderful volunteer teachers who have years of experience teaching children!
Sunnyside has a great staff of teachers and volunteers who have a heart for kids and sharing Jesus with them. All of our volunteers have been trained and background checked. We also have a process to securely check your child in and out of their classroom. To do this we will get some basic info from you upon your first visit. The process is very simple and just takes a few minutes to complete.
Children’s Classes:
In Sunday School, kids of all ages will learn about the stories of the Bible and the love that God has for us as demonstrated through Jesus Christ.
All our children’s classes teach scripture in simple ways that will relate to their lives with their families and schools. All children’s classes are based on age and suitable for their cognitive abilities. Some use pictures, crafts, and coloring, but they all use the Bible and emphasize the truths of scripture.
Nursery (0 to 2 years old), Preschool (3 & 4 years old), Kindergarten, Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4 Girls, Grades 3-4 Boys, Grades 5-6 Girls, Grades 5-6 Boys
Sick Child Policy
Keep your child at home if any of the following symptoms are present in the 24 hours prior to church: fever (without fever reducing medication), vomiting, diarrhea, persistent productive cough, discolored runny nose, or sore throat. Sunnyside Baptist Church reserves the right to request immediate pick up for a child deemed to be too ill for Sunday School. Parents will also be requested to pick up children early who become ill during the services.
Please note that while we do all we can to limit the transmission of illness, many childhood diseases are contagious before they are symptomatic.
