The vision of Sunnyside Baptist Church Children’s Ministry is to partner with parents in guiding their children into a personal relationship with Christ and actively disciple them to carry out God’s mission for their lives, which ultimately results in others coming to Christ.
From the moment your child enters, we will strive to connect your child(ren) in age-appropriate, engaging, scriptural teaching.
We know that children learn best in safe and secure surroundings. We also understand that parents can relax when their children are well cared for and safe. We believe in protecting children with an uncompromising safety/security process.
Our Kids’ Ministry works hard to have trained adults who come alongside you in your child’s spiritual growth weekly. We are here for you, cheering you on as you lead your child to love and follow Jesus!

GROW Kids 2024/2025
It’s time for GROW Kids 2024-2025. This is our mid-week program where we have Bible lesson, Bible Scripture Memorization and Game Time. Children age 2 through 6th grade. We follow the Sullivan County School schedule.

Princess & Superhero Party
Join us for a special event exclusively for nursery through 1st grade! We invite you to bring your princesses and superheroes dressed in their best attire for an evening filled with fun, food, games, and activities. The princesses will enjoy hair and makeup, nail painting, and a craft. Meanwhile, the superheroes can take part in obstacle courses, games, and a craft of their own! Parents, we encourage you to stay for the event as it will also be a time for you to connect with other families. We look forward to sharing this wonderful experience together!Description goes here

Easter Egg Hunt
The annual Kids Ministry Easter Egg Hunt will take place on April 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A special Gospel presentation will be provided by our GLO Puppet Ministry. This event is for children from crawlers up to 6th grade. Additionally, there will be a designated hunting area for children needing special accommodations.

Magnified VBS 2025
Proclaim the Lord’s greatness with me; let us exalt His name together. -Psalm 34:3
Made to magnify God! Magnified VBS will encourage kids to look closely at the details of God’s amazing world and magnify, or proclaim, the greatness of God. God made us, cares about us, loves us, forgives us, and is faithful to keep all His promises to us. We can praise God together. We were made to magnify God!
June 1 - June 5, 6pm-8pm nightly. We will be offering classes for 2 years old - 8th grade, special needs, and adult VBS

Basketball Shooters Camp
The Basketball Shooters Camp will be held from July 14-17, daily from 9 AM to noon. This camp is for boys and girls who have completed grades 3 through 8. The cost per camper is $30.

Overnight Summer Camp for 3rd-6th Graders
Register your child for our annual overnight kids' camp at Camp Placid in Blountville, TN, from July 20 to July 23. The cost is $100 per camper, which includes lodging, meals, and a camp t-shirt. Scholarships are available. For more information, please see Mrs. Tammy.

Summer Day Camp for Rising 3rd Graders
Register your rising 3rd grader for our annual kids' day camp at Camp Placid in Blountville, TN, on July 21 and July 22. Your camper is invited to join us for breakfast, lunch, and supper and all daily activities on Monday and Tuesday. You’ll drop your camper off at 8am and pick them up at 7pm. The cost is $50 per camper, which includes activities, all meals, and a camp t-shirt. Scholarships are available. For more information, please see Mrs. Tammy.
